Farmhouse in Cascia at Mamma Mimma's

A family-run farm in the heart of Umbria

In the green heart of Umbria, among the hills that embrace the Valnerina, Sabrina Ranucci's farm was born, a young reality but deeply rooted in the territory. Active since 2023, the company is passionately dedicated to breeding Highland cows, a species native to Scotland, robust, photogenic and perfectly integrated with the natural environment of the area. Alongside breeding, Sabrina and her family also carry on the cultivation of cereals and legumes, such as lentils, spelt, barley and wheat, in a balance that respects the rhythms of the land. The approach is authentic, sustainable and linked to seasonal cycles, with the aim of offering good, genuine and zero-kilometer products. The company is much more than a workplace: it is a home, a life project shared by the whole family, which has lived for generations in Poggioprimocaso, a small hamlet between Norcia, Cascia and Spoleto. This place, still little traveled by mass tourism, is now increasingly appreciated by those looking for real experiences, connection with nature and sincere hospitality. And it is precisely from this philosophy that the Agritourism project was also born.

Agriturismo da MammaMimma: genuine hospitality for travelers and walkers

The Agriturismo da MammaMimma is the hospitable heart of the UmbriaHighland farm and is a real farmhouse in Cascia. Here Sabrina and her family welcome travelers, families, couples and groups of hikers who choose Umbria to regenerate themselves every year. The property can accommodate up to a dozen people, offering comfortable and functional rooms, immersed in the quiet of the countryside. Each room has its own personality, but they all share the same spirit: simplicity, comfort and human warmth. The farmhouse is located in a strategic position near Cascia for those who love slow tourism: Norcia, Castelluccio di Norcia, Sellano, Spoleto are easily reachable, even in less than 30 minutes, and in the surroundings there are numerous paths perfect for trekking, walking and cycling. Those traveling on foot or in the saddle will find an ideal stopping point here, with a tailor-made welcome. To make your stay even more special there is the possibility of taking advantage of the half board or full board service, with home-cooked meals, which enhance local products, often grown or bred directly on the farm. The menu varies according to the season, but the taste is always that of the Umbrian tradition: genuine, simple and tasty. It is the type of cuisine that smells like home, capable of telling stories through dishes.
